<p><strong>Title:</strong> Line/Prep Cook</p>
<p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Kitchen Supervisor</p>
<p><strong>Rate of Pay:</strong> $9 &#8211; $11 an hour</p>
<p><strong>Summary of Position:</strong><br />
Accurately and efficiently cook meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as prepare and portion food products prior to cooking.</p>
<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>At the start of each shift Check that Daily Prep List is complete and sufficient prep product is available for service.</li>
<li>Inform Kitchen Supervisor immediately of prep shortages.</li>
<li>Use our Standard Recipe Cards for preparing all products.</li>
<li>Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line station to assure a smooth service.</li>
<li>Prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning and/or marinating, etc.</li>
<li>Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.</li>
<li>Assumes 100% responsibility for quality and presentation of products served.</li>
<li>Understand and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and sanitary work area including tables, shelves, walls, grills, fryers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.</li>
<li>Washes dishes as necessary</li>
<li>Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to Kitchen Supervisor.</li>
<li>Follow proper plate portion, presentation and garnish set for all dishes.</li>
<li>Handle, store and rotates all products properly.</li>
<li>Assist others in closing the kitchen and follow the closing checklist.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.</li>
<li>Must be able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen personnel.</li>
<li>Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.</li>
<li>Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).</li>
<li>Punctuality, regular and reliable attendance.</li>
<li>Honesty and Integrity</li>

<p>Today was a big day for us at Lloyd. My brother, on his first business trip, was able to visit our main source of inspiration: The <a href="http://kogibbq.com/" target="_blank">Kogi Truck</a> of Los Angeles. It wasn&#8217;t easy. L.A. is a pretty big place, however with the help of a cell phone, our <a href="http://nicholasbarone.com" target="_blank">brother in law</a> and Google maps, the mission was a smashing success. Thanks to my brother, Giorgio, for getting this picture taken today.</p>
<p>We&#8217;d love to see pictures of  Buffalonians who have found other food trucks around the country. Submit them to our <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Buffalo-NY/Lloyd-Taco-Trucks/125928887442350" target="_blank">Facebook page.</a> By the way, we&#8217;ll post pictures of you wearing <a href="http://whereslloyd.com/wheres-lloyd-t-shirt/" target="_blank">your Lloyd shirt</a> in front of our truck too. <p>As you may have heard, Lloyd is in the shop and needs an engine transplant. We originally planned our grand opening for yesterday, but since that won&#8217;t be possible, we&#8217;re throwing a party!</p>
<p>Join us this Friday night to keep things going and help save Lloyd. We hope our customers will come so we can give back some of the love you&#8217;ve shown us! Tell your friends, bring your family, all are welcome! Grandmas like tacos too. <span id="more-22"></span></p>
<p>Tickets are $20 for all you can eat tacos and more! Cash only. We&#8217;ll be serving up our specialty grilled corn and churros for dessert. Drinks will be provided as well. In addition to tasty food, there will be prizes, raffles and music featuring <a href="http://www.myspace.com/djlopro" target="_blank">DJLoPRO</a>.<br />
After the party Cole&#8217;s on Elmwood is offering a $1 contribution for every pint sold between 9pm-10pm that night.</p>
