Season Five of “Nickel City Chef” to Include One of Lloyd’s Own

Lloyd Sous Chef Christopher “Teddy” Bryant will challenge Nickel City Chef Jennifer Boye of The Mansion on Delaware Avenue in a cooking battle to be held Sunday, March 10, 2013. The match will take place at Artisan Kitchens & Baths on Amherst Street in Buffalo. The event is styled after the hit show “Iron Chef America” on Food Network.

In addition to being part of the first food truck in Buffalo with Lloyd, Teddy brings an impressive resume to the competition. With an Associate’s Degree from the Culinary Institute of America, Teddy interned at the famous Le Cirque restaurant in New York City and worked as a butcher, grill cook, and Sous Chef at three well-known hotels in Las Vegas.

Teddy has already been crowned Nickel City Firing Line Champion after his December 2012 match against Chef DJ Cook of Sample. Teddy’s culinary skill, creativity, and technical prowess have shown that he is an impressive challenger.

Lloyd Head Chef, Christopher Dorsaneo, competed in and won the final match of Season Four of Nickel City Chef. Chris defeated Chef J.J. Richert of Torches, cooking with secret ingredients chevre & feta cheeses.

The entire season of Nickel City Chef is already sold out, but there is a waiting list. To be placed on it, email NickelCityChef@gmail.com with “Waiting List” in the subject, and details regarding the number of tickets you need and the date (March 10 to see Teddy). Tickets, should they become available, are $38.00 each, and include catered gourmet snacks and access to a cash bar. Each show is hosted by WBFO’s Bert Gambini and Buffalo’s top chef, Chef Mike Andrzejewski.

Wish Teddy luck as you see him in the upcoming weeks! To learn more about Nickel City Chef, visit http://nickelcitychef.com/.
